Reading, writing, and note-taking will be the skills most utilized in my classes this term, but I know that many students do not like the first two items. It is my hope that you will come to love both your reading and writing time this semester.

LITERATURE 

ENG 20 In this first week we be asking the question, “What do we know as human beings?” and looking at how literature and philosophy can answer that question. Each half of the class will be connected through a short story, some poems or quotes, as well as philosophical essays and short ted talks. This week we will be looking at the preface and introduction of the text. You will also be required to read the short story, “Araby” by James Joyce so we can discuss it next week.
